It is a tax discount on income tax equivalent to 35% of the expenses incurred by foreign productions in Colombia on audiovisual and logistical services.<\/p>

These certificates are transferable to income taxpayers in Colombia through the stock market.<\/p>

To qualify for the CINA incentive, a minimum expenditure on audiovisual and logistical services in Colombia must be met as follows:<\/p>

Audiovisual works or feature films<\/strong>
1,800 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 2.563 billion (USD $641,000*).<\/strong><\/p>

Series<\/strong>
1,800 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 2.563 billion (USD $641,000*)<\/strong>, with an average cost per episode of 450 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 641 million (USD $160,000*)<\/strong>. Both conditions must be met. A series with fewer episodes may apply if it meets the total minimum spend, or a series with more than four episodes may apply as long as it maintains the minimum spend per episode.<\/em><\/p>

* If the total expenditure in the country is equal to or greater than 9,000 SMLMV, equivalent to COP 12.812 billion (USD $3.2 million), the average spend per episode is not required.<\/em><\/p>

Short-form web series or animated series<\/strong>
1,800 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 2.563 billion (USD $641,000*)<\/strong>, with an average cost per episode of 72 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 103 million (USD $25,640*)<\/strong>. Both conditions must be met. A series with fewer episodes may apply if it meets the total minimum spend, or a series with more than 25 episodes may apply as long as it maintains the minimum spend per episode.<\/em><\/p>

Music video package<\/strong>
1,800 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 2.563 billion (USD $641,000*)<\/strong>, with an average cost per video of 72 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 103 million (USD $25,440*). <\/strong>Both conditions must be met. A package with fewer videos may apply if it meets the total minimum spend, or a package with more than 25 videos may apply as long as it maintains the minimum spend per video.<\/em><\/p>

Single music video<\/strong>
200 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 285 million (USD $71,000*).<\/strong><\/p>

Video games<\/strong>
1,215 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 1.730 billion (USD $432,500*).<\/strong><\/p>

Advertising audiovisual content<\/strong>
400 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 569 million (USD $142,350*).<\/strong><\/p>

Post-production projects<\/strong>
360 SMLMV<\/strong>, equivalent to COP 513 million (USD $128,000*).<\/strong><\/p>

SMLMV refers to the Colombian legal monthly minimum wage<\/strong>, which is approximately COP 1,424,000 (around USD $356*).<\/em><\/p>

THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE CINA INCENTIVE IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND. <\/strong>The review and correction process for applications takes between 4 and 8 weeks. If you want your project to be eligible for the current month\u2019s committee, you must apply at least one month in advance. Each producer, depending on the type of project, may indicate the required timeframe according to their schedule, without exceeding the following maximum duration:<\/p>
