The equipment is imported in the name of the visitor who declared it at the start of the trip, and it is the visitor\u2019s responsibility to re-export it from the country. The import of such equipment will be recorded in the visitor\u2019s passport, and failure to re-export it constitutes a customs violation under DIAN regulations.<\/span><\/p><p><b>RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BRINGING EQUIPMENT ON COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bring a detailed list of the equipment you are bringing into the country, including serial numbers, weight, and customs value.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the DIAN official asks if you have anything to declare upon entering Colombia, you must say yes. This will initiate the baggage declaration process.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that the baggage declaration process can take several hours, especially if you have a connecting flight upon arrival in or departure from Colombia.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that drones cannot be brought into Colombia on commercial flights due to current regulations. Their entry must be processed through advance importation via an authorized customs broker.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f3c97a8 ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" data-id=\"f3c97a8\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb3253b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fb3253b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>IMPORT THROUGH A CUSTOMS BROKER<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For audiovisual projects that wish to import cargo items into the country\u2014such as equipment, devices, and filming materials\u2014for a period of six (6) months, with the possibility of an extension for an additional period of up to six (6) months.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have two options, depending on the type of project:<\/span><\/p><p><b>If the project is a film <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(feature-length or short film): <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply for the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resolution Authorizing Filming<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Colombia, issued by <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mincultura.gov.co\/direcciones\/audiovisuales-cine-y-medios-interactivos\/Paginas\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MinCulturas<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by sending the required <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mng.mincultura.gov.co\/areas\/cinematografia\/Documents\/Requisitos%20Autorizaci%C3%B3n%20de%20Rodaje%20en%20Territorio%20Nacional.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">documents<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to: <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"mailto:idacosta@mincultura.gov.co\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">idacosta@mincultura.gov.co<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"mailto:griano@mincultura.gov.co\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">griano@mincultura.gov.co<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This process is free of charge.<\/span><\/p><p><b>If the project is in a different audiovisual format<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (TV series, reality shows, music videos, video games, etc.):\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Request the Customs Procedures Certification issued by the Proim\u00e1genes Colombia Film Commission. Review the <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1yxtiArBtSJx_PfwRkM_76PwyMBNk19PZ\/view?usp=drive_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">instructions<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to learn about the process and costs.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you have obtained the Filming Authorization Resolution for national territory or the Customs Clearance Certificate, as applicable, you must complete the import or export process through a customs broker (specialized private companies authorized by the DIAN to handle these procedures).
