For the first time in Latin America, the world’s film commissions and production leaders will meet in Bogot\u00e1 (Colombia), September 20 – 22<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The International Association of World Film Commissions (AFCI) selected Bogot\u00e1 as the venue for Cineposium 2022, a conference that connects commissions from around the world and industry leaders for three days to discuss public policy, economic development and the challenges facing the film industry. Bogot\u00e1 is the first Latin American city to receive this distinction.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at the Bogot\u00e1 Chamber of Commerce (Chapinero), on September 20, 21 and 22. Bogot\u00e1 presented a strong candidacy led by the Bogot\u00e1 Film Commission of the District Institute of the Arts (Idartes), together with the Bogot\u00e1 Chamber of Commerce and the support of the District Tourism Institute of Bogot\u00e1 (IDT), the Film Commission of Proim\u00e1genes Colombia, Procolombia, Invest in Bogot\u00e1 and the Greater Bogot\u00e1 Convention Bureau.<\/p>\n

The country’s capital has shown great growth as an international audiovisual production center, thanks to incentives such as the FFC cash rebate and the CINA transferable tax credit, granted by the National Government through Proim\u00e1genes Colombia – Film Commission. It should also be noted that Silvia Echeverri, director of the Film Commission of Proim\u00e1genes Colombia, was appointed vice president of the AFCI board of directors.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1975, the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) is the only global non-profit professional organization representing city, state, regional, provincial and national film commission members on six continents.
