The Commission will participate in the American Film Market (AFM)<\/a>, one of the world’s most prominent audiovisual industry events for film acquisition, development and networking, which will take place from October 31 to November 5, 2023 in Los Angeles, United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Colombia Film Commission will have a stand where it will share the benefits of choosing Colombia as an audiovisual production scenario, including its locations, talent, institutional support and incentives. It will also join a delegation of 6 local production companies that applied for the call ‘Participation of companies in the audiovisual promotion of Colombia’ in the category of attendance to international audiovisual markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, there will be an agenda with international producers to establish contacts and a brunch organized by Procolombia<\/a>, with resources from MinTIC, to socialize the benefits of filming in the country, with emphasis on the economic incentives of the National Government and to present the audiovisual services companies and local production companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the incentives of Law 1556<\/a>, the Colombia Film Fund – FFC and the Audiovisual Investment Certificates – CINA, have benefited 151 productions from 15 countries, attracting 80 production companies and more than 590 million dollars of investment for our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The FFC has benefited 53 national and foreign projects, with a projected investment of 334 billion COP \/ 78.6 million USD in Colombia. In the case of the CINA, they have benefited 99 foreign projects, with a projected investment of COP 2.17 billion \/ USD 511 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Commission’s presence at these events is part of the International Promotion Plan of Law 1556, also known as “Filming Colombia Law”, which aims to support the offer, talent and the national territory through strategies that attract investment, position production and promote local content to strengthen the sector and consolidate the country as a stage for audiovisual production. In 2022, the Colombia Film Commission participated in the AFM with a stand and the panel “Shooting in Latin America” together with the Commissions of Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Sao Paulo.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
