This growth <strong data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"729\">reaffirms the National Government\u2019s confidence in the performance of Law 1556<\/strong> and in the continued growth of Colombia\u2019s audiovisual sector. This effort is complemented by the announcement of the <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"895\">Colombia Film Fund (FFC) allocation for 2026<\/strong>, which will reach <strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"964\">COP 6.68 billion (approximately USD 2 million)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"967\" data-end=\"1381\">As an initial performance overview, the behavior of the <strong data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1069\">CINA system in the first weeks of the year<\/strong> shows an <strong data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1119\">early and strong application dynamic<\/strong>. As of January 2026, <strong data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1224\">projects submitted for evaluation already represent 29% of the available budget<\/strong>\u2014an indicator of <strong data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1276\">advance planning by productions<\/strong> and of <strong data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1339\">Colombia\u2019s consolidation as a competitive territory<\/strong> for the development of audiovisual works.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"2044\">This momentum takes place within an audiovisual sector that in recent years has welcomed both the production of <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1512\">local stories<\/strong> and the execution of <strong data-start=\"1534\" data-end=\"1575\">large-scale international productions<\/strong>. Among the beneficiaries of Law 1556 that have brought Colombian content to global audiences are Netflix productions such as <em data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1732\">One Hundred Years of Solitude<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1743\">Delirio<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1762\">State of Escape<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1764\" data-end=\"1779\">Simply Alicia<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1796\">The Guest<\/em>. Additionally, <strong data-start=\"3135\" data-end=\"3155\">Rodrigo Guerrero<\/strong>, Director of <strong data-start=\"3169\" data-end=\"3183\">AG Studios<\/strong>\u2014the company in charge of production\u2014highlighted: \u201cIn projects like <em data-start=\"3251\" data-end=\"3270\">The Night Manager<\/em> and <em data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3292\">State of Escape<\/em>, we saw <strong data-start=\"3301\" data-end=\"3369\">Colombian crews working at the same level as international teams<\/strong>. On a set of <strong data-start=\"3383\" data-end=\"3432\">more than 400 people, only 80 were foreigners<\/strong>, many of them with experience in major productions. This clearly demonstrates the <strong data-start=\"3515\" data-end=\"3571\">level the Colombian audiovisual industry has reached<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3575\" data-end=\"4056\">Speaking about her experience within Colombia\u2019s current audiovisual ecosystem, actress, director, and screenwriter <strong data-start=\"3690\" data-end=\"3711\">Estefan\u00eda Pi\u00f1eres<\/strong> shares: \u201cFor a long time, I thought that to succeed as an actress I had to go to Hollywood, that success meant acting in English. But in recent years, the most beautiful thing has been <strong data-start=\"3897\" data-end=\"3916\">wanting to stay<\/strong>, because there are <strong data-start=\"3936\" data-end=\"3972\">new proposals and new narratives<\/strong>. Today, <strong data-start=\"3981\" data-end=\"4054\">projects don\u2019t just arrive from abroad\u2014they are also born from within<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4058\" data-end=\"4317\">For 2026, the incentive maintains an <strong data-start=\"4095\" data-end=\"4114\">expanded vision<\/strong> that incorporates <strong data-start=\"4133\" data-end=\"4188\">post-production, animation, and video game projects<\/strong>, strengthening the country\u2019s <strong data-start=\"4218\" data-end=\"4251\">specialized service offerings<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"4256\" data-end=\"4316\">broadening opportunities across the audiovisual industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4319\" data-end=\"4583\">The <strong data-start=\"4323\" data-end=\"4338\">CINA system<\/strong> is a <strong data-start=\"4344\" data-end=\"4382\">key tool for attracting investment<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4384\" data-end=\"4419\">generating qualified employment<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"4425\" data-end=\"4456\">enabling knowledge transfer<\/strong>, while also strengthening <strong data-start=\"4483\" data-end=\"4503\">local capacities<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"4508\" data-end=\"4582\">positioning Colombia as a setting for stories with international reach<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4585\" data-end=\"5058\">\u201c<strong data-start=\"4586\" data-end=\"4683\">Since 2020, the CINA incentive has brought 165 international audiovisual projects to Colombia<\/strong>, with investments exceeding <strong data-start=\"4712\" data-end=\"4750\">COP 3.4 trillion (USD 861 million)<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"4759\" data-end=\"4804\">direct hiring of more than 130,000 people<\/strong>.
