The Colombia Film Commission of Proimágenes Colombia announces that the 2025 Audiovisual Investment Certificate (CINA) quota has been fully allocated. This result confirms international producers’ confidence in the country and reflects Colombia’s sustained growth as a competitive audiovisual destination on the global stage.
Between 2020 and 2025, a total of 165 audiovisual projects were approved to receive the CINA. Of these, 106 have been successfully completed, generating approximately COP 1.8 trillion (USD 449 million) in investment. In addition, 59 projects are currently in development, projecting around COP 1.6 trillion (USD 412 million) in investment.
So far in 2025, the incentive has approved 32 additional projects, with an estimated investment of COP 752 billion (USD 188 million). Altogether, projects approved through the CINA have represented more than COP 3.4 trillion (USD 861 million) in investment for the country since its creation.
The impact of the incentive system created under Law 1556 of 2012—comprising the Audiovisual Investment Certificate (CINA) and the Colombia Film Fund (FFC)—goes beyond direct investment. According to information reported by finalized projects, the incentive has enabled the creation of more than 130,000 direct jobs for Colombian professionals in technical and artistic areas. Ongoing projects are expected to hire more than 10,000 additional professionals directly.
The effect on the economy is also reflected in related sectors: projects have reported more than 570,000 hotel nights and over 30,000 airline tickets purchased, significantly boosting tourism and service industries in the country. Furthermore, productions benefiting from the incentive system have reached 24 of Colombia’s 32 departments and 153 municipalities, showcasing a diverse and decentralized territorial impact.

In 2025, the CINA expanded to new formats, including music videos and video games. Among the approved projects stands out FIFA Rivals, part of the renowned Mythical Games franchise, developed in Colombia by Bacon Games.
International confidence is also evident in confirmed projects: Netflix announced the filming of En diciembre llegaban las brisas and Palacio, both produced by Dynamo, as well as an expanded production of Cien años de soledad season 2; Amazon Content Services confirmed the third season of Yo soy Betty, la fea: The Story Continues, produced in Colombia by Estudios RCN; and acclaimed director Zack Snyder will shoot his first independent feature film, The Last Photograph, in the country, with local production services from Jaguar Bite. Additional titles include 52nd State (Jaguar Bite), Top Chef VIP season 4 (Estudios RCN), Miss Universe Latina: El Reality (Estudios RCN), DOC (Sony Pictures Television), Perfil Falso season 3 (TIS Productions), and Medusa season 2 (TIS Productions), which consolidate the presence of large-scale and diverse productions in the country thanks to the CINA incentive. This year also saw the approval of 7 feature films, including independent productions, strengthening cinema’s participation in the program.
“These results show that the impact we have achieved is outstanding. The incentive is now positioned worldwide, with strong confidence from international producers as well as recognition of the talent and capabilities of our technical and artistic teams, who have worked in the audiovisual sector for many years and built remarkable expertise,” said Silvia Echeverri, Director of the Colombia Film Commission of Proimágenes Colombia.
Beyond the filming of international productions, the CINA incentive has also strengthened strategic areas of the audiovisual value chain, such as post-production and animation. In 2025 alone, 7 post-production projects and 3 animation projects have been approved, consolidating Colombia as a competitive hub for high-level specialized services, with talent and technical capacities meeting global market demands.
With record figures, an expansion into new formats, and the arrival of major international productions, Colombia confirms that its audiovisual sector is in a stage of consolidation and growth. The full allocation of the 2025 CINA quota marks a milestone that underscores the strength of the incentive and the country’s positioning as one of the world’s most attractive destinations for audiovisual production. At the same time, the incentive continues to foster both adaptations of renowned content and the development of original Colombian stories, consolidating a public policy that strengthens the sector, amplifies the international projection of national talent, and diversifies the range of content originating from Colombia.
The definition of the 2026 CINA quota will take place within the framework of the Colombia Film Promotion Committee (CPFC), scheduled between November and December 2025.
