The Foreign Audiovisual Production Certificate is a mandatory document for applying for a Type V Courtesy Visa. This document is non-transferable and authorizes foreign personnel to enter Colombian territory to provide professional, technical, or artistic services on a foreign audiovisual production.
The application process varies depending on the type of project:
If the project is a film (feature-length or short film): Apply for the Resolution Authorizing Filming in Colombia, issued by MinCulturas, by sending the required documents to: idacosta@mincultura.gov.co and griano@mincultura.gov.co. This process is free of charge.
If the project is in a different audiovisual format (series, reality shows, music videos, video games, among others): Apply for the Certification of Foreign Audiovisual Work, issued by the Proimágenes Colombia Film Commission.
