CASA DEL RIO

Casa del Río is the oldest hotel in Honda, built in 1920 by General Bernardino Londoño, who opened its doors to accommodate travelers, foreigners, and merchants who arrived in Honda to board the steamboats that sailed the Magdalena River en route to Barranquilla, often continuing their journeys to other parts of the world. Today, after 100 years, the hotel has been restored, preserving every detail of its Republican colonial architecture. Through careful decoration with 19th-century objects, Casa del Río manages to harmonize the reminiscence of that era with contemporary comfort and convenience.
