Description
It is a municipality that has approximately 14,000 inhabitants in both the urban and rural areas. It is bathed by numerous water sources such as: the Ariari River, Caño Iraca, Caño Guadualito, Caño Cural, and many others. Its economy is based mainly on agriculture and livestock, being one of the largest banana producing municipalities nationwide.
