Después de que el negocio familiar colapsa, Guk-hui y su familia huyen de Corea y llegan a Bogotá, Colombia. A los 19 años, Guk-hui está decidido a regresar a Corea, trabajando incansablemente, pero cuanto más se esfuerza, más se hunde en un lodazal del que parece imposible escapar.
