Description
The Zapatosa neighborhood is a small town with a mix of colorful concrete and wattle-and-daub houses with zinc, tile, and palm roofs, with wide paved roads around the main square and unpaved secondary roads. Being set back from the main road, it is quiet, with little vehicle traffic. It is located within the important Zapatosa Swamp, a wetland system in the middle-lower reaches of the Magdalena River, with water bodies and extensive pastures and small crops cultivated by local residents. The railroad crosses the main access road. A small town with easy access by road from the main highway and unpaved roads. It doesn't have much infrastructure within the area, but it's close to the municipality of Tamalameque and other towns that can provide these services. Wi-Fi and basic utilities are available in the homes.
