Description
Located in the municipality of Ciénaga, the Hacienda Santa Cruz de Papare is a sample of colonial architecture. It was part of the encomienda in the sixteenth century and was productive of sugar and alcohol for export. The land of the hacienda is used for the cultivation of banana, which is sold in international markets.
