The Lost City of Z is the adaptation of the biographical book that bears the same name and tells the story of British Colonel Percy Fawcett, who was commissioned by his government to trace the border between Brazil and Bolivia, located in the Amazon jungle, which had never been explored before.
During his successful expedition Fawcett meets Tadjui, an indigenous guide who tells him about the existence of an ancient civilization in the middle of the jungle with gold monuments and large constructions. After the First World War, the Colonel, in the company of his son, embarks on a new expedition to find that superior culture hidden in the Amazon, the city called Z. But Fawcett and his son never come back.
