Registration of the producer and documentation to apply for the project
- Application stage: Postulación CINA
If the producer chooses to register before applying for a specific project, they must attach the following documents:
- Certificate of current existence of the company in the country of origin (active status, company name, legal representative)
- Passport of the producer’s legal representative
- Profile of the production company (track record and audiovisual experience)
- Identification of the corporate group to which the producer belongs (if applicable)

It is also possible to apply without prior registration of the producer. To do so, in addition to the above documents, you must attach the following:
- Application form [form]
- Certification that the audiovisual project being applied for did not opt for or receive FFC compensation or incentives under Law 814 of 2003 [format]
- Certification, under oath, that the applicant producer is the producer of the project and is not a taxpayer in Colombia [format]
☞ All these documents are available on the application platform, where the producer must fill them out, download them, sign them, and send them.
Remember that...
- The applicant producer can register at any time of the year and all documents must have an issue date no more than thirty (30) days old.
- If a document is issued by a public authority, it must be apostilled or legalized.
- The producer’s registration is valid from the date of submission until the end of the following calendar year.
- For each subsequent application, the producer must verify the validity of the information using a form found on the application platform.
- If there is any change in their information, the producer must provide updated documents.

Is there a schedule with specific dates for applying?
No, the CINA call for applications is open all year round, until the annual quota is filled.
Must producers register before applying for the project or can they do so at the time of application?
Yes, producers can register in advance. They can also do so at the time of project submission.
If the producer is a foreigner, can someone else register on their behalf?
Yes, provided they have a power of attorney or mandate.
Does the producer have to own the rights to the work?
Yes.
Are official translations of the documents submitted by the producer required?
No, simple translations are accepted.
