Colombian Film Commission at Bogotá Audiovisual Market 2025

Markets/Mercados/News

Compartir en:

From July 14 to 18, Bogotá will host a new edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market – BAM, one of the most important events for the audiovisual industry in Latin America. As every year, the market brings together creators, producers, investors, buyers, and key players from both the national and international audiovisual ecosystem.

Through talks, panels, and workshops, the Colombian Film Commission’s agenda will explore topics such as the development of video games made in Colombia for global brands, the evolution of acting in recent productions, and the creative processes behind stories about peace. These activities are made possible thanks to the resources of the CINA incentive, which supports these spaces of exchange to strengthen the industry.

Experiencias que Forman | The meaning of designing worlds for FIFA and Rival Stars from Colombia
Wednesday, July 16 – 2:30 p.m. / Gimnasio Moderno - Auditorium
Open to the public

Matches played around the world and horse races followed by millions on their phones. This conversation delves into the creative, technical, and symbolic processes behind two of the world’s most popular video games and their development from Colombia, supported by the CINA incentive. What does it mean to create these virtual worlds from the Global South? What aesthetic, narrative, and cultural decisions are made when working for brands like FIFA and Rival Stars?
Part of the Experiencias que Forman series by the Colombian Film Commission.

Speakers: Natalia Álvarez (PikPok) and Jairo Nieto (Bacon Games)

Experiencias que Forman | CINA: a mechanism that has boosted acting work in Colombia
Thursday, July 17 – 2:00 p.m. / Cámara de Comercio - Chapinero, Room 207/208
For accredited participants

Beyond strengthening the technical and production areas of the industry, CINA has also contributed to the professional development of actors in Colombia. Through the testimonies of three actors, this conversation will highlight the diversification of genres and formats being produced in the country today, the actors’ experience with productions of different scales, and the growing regional visibility of Colombian talent.

The meaning of making Blanco: cinema, Gurudev, and the search for peace in Colombia
Friday, July 18 – 2:30 p.m. / Gimnasio Moderno - Auditorium
Open to the public

How can cinema narrate an unexpected gesture of peace? This conversation explores the creative process behind Blanco, a film that portrays the spiritual intervention of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar during the peace talks in Colombia. The project, set to begin filming in the country with CINA support, is produced by Sriram Chandrasekaran (Broadvision Perspectives) — with more than 40 international productions — and serviced by Jaguar Bite. It offers a different lens on conflict: far from political discourse and closer to the intimate and transformative.

Speakers: Director Monto Bassi (India) and cast members
Moderator: Juan Pablo Solano, executive producer of the project

Workshop on applying for and accrediting incentives under Law 1556
Friday, July 18 – 2:00 p.m. / Cámara de Comercio - Chapinero, Room 301/302

Additionally, the Colombian Film Commission will take part in the panel C21Media & Content Americas, with the participation of its director, Silvia Echeverri, who will join representatives of leading networks and companies in the sector.
